India's Vaccinations Drive

When the India decided to adopt the CovishieId and Covaxin, the intelligentsia, non-BJP political parties, NGOs, anti Modi all started speaking in the media that there is insufficient data on it’s efficacy, it is fake and we will not get it done.

The media also launched a movement against the Indian vaccine.

After all this, a confusion arose among the large section of the people of the country that vaccine is not safe and hence is not to be taken. And when the vaccination started from 15 January, only a few people used to come to the vaccine centers. 

On a couple of days some vaccination centers reported only 2-3 vaccinations.

If you look at the long lines for vaccines in Mumbai today, hundreds of people above 60 years are also seen.  

Someone may ask them that since March, when there were no crowds and vaccine doses were going waste, why did they not get the vaccination done then? 

Similarly the HCWs and FLWs now queuing up did not want it January onwards when it had opened up exclusively for them. 

The reason are the same fear that these newspapers, politicians etc. had created.

Due to this fear, and vaccination hesitancy several million doses of vaccine were wasted, new orders were delayed, production capacity expansion did not take place and the result is there for all to see.

Today these same agitators/protestors against the vaccine are getting  vaccinated quietly.

As per the Ministry, Haryana reported 6.49 vaccine wastage, followed by Assam with 5.92 per cent, and Rajasthan with 5.68 per cent.

5.67 per cent vaccine wastage was recorded in Meghalaya, 5.20 per cent in Bihar, 5.19 per cent in Manipur, 4.94 per cent in Punjab, 4.5 per cent in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, 4.13 per cent in Tamil Nadu and 3.36 per cent in Nagaland.

Things They Should Have Taught In My Computer Science Degree

Was going through a  article 'Things They Should Have Taught In My Computer Science Degree ' and among other points  mentioned there most imp i feel from them is point mentioned below .
Corporate Politics/Building Relationships
It may not seem so to most people, but I believe that this is by far the most important point where my CS degree let me down. So much emphasis is placed on technical subjects that you never get to find out how life really works in the corporate world. Of course this is the hardest to figure out on your own.
As a freshly minted CS grad, you think technology is the most important thing in the world. So, when you find your feet in the corporate world it is a bit of a rude shock how everything seems so dysfunctional and moves at such a glacial pace, until that is you figure out that technology is not the most important thing at all and that corporate politics rules the coop.
Even in high technology companies, politics is king and the cornerstone of politics is relationships. The right relationships can let you get things done, and make your life a lot less difficult. However the concepts around politics and relationships are not well defined, there are no hard and fast rules, everything is very relative and fluffy. Of course for technically minded people this is the most frustrating thing in the world.
It doesn’t have to be like this though, just like everything else, politics and relationship building have basic principles that can be taught, so I fail to see why they are not. Had they been maybe industry wouldn’t crying out anywhere near as much for technical people with great interpersonal skills. Because it is not the interpersonal skills that the grads are lacking (there are plenty of CS grads with great people skills), it is the ability to use these skills to effectively build relationships.

Entrepreneurship has no risk...... well most of you will say i don't agree to it .before we discuss let quickly go through this article

Recently I met with parents of the founder of one of our portfolio companies. They asked me about their son’s venture , how do I think its doing and what will be  the outcome etc. Here was my answer to them:

• Your son worked for 1 year as a SW engineer with a big company before starting his venture
• Now the venture is 4 months old and is already seeing some good traction
• Lets say he works on this venture for 2-3 years, at the end of it one of the two outcomes will be seen
  • Good case outcome: He continues with the venture. It has become successful – not necessarily an IPO but at the minimum its growing steadily and makes enough money to sustain itself and pay him a salary
  • Worst case outcome: The venture shuts down
• When your son started this venture he auto promoted himself from SW engineer to the CEO / CXO
  • A level he may have never achieved or achieved after a very long time period in a regular career with big SW companies
• Since he is  CEO / CXO – he would need to work  & network  with CEOs / Founders / Owners / Senior management folks of other companies
  • As a matter of fact this person I am talking about has already met CEOs / owners of more than 10 established / funded companies which are from the similar domain as his own company
• In case of shutdown of his venture it is certain that with the right efforts your son will:
  • Find a senior management position – VP / AVP / Director / Head of department with a company in the same domain
  • Get very good salary to go with these positions
  • And he would have switched from writing code to a domain of his choice
  • And if he has another venture in him, he can save enough to start it
• This will happen because 2-3 years as an entrepreneur will give the two things needed to get a senior position:
  • Network of decision makers at good companies who have seen him run his own company
  • 3 years of intense learning you get as as a start up founder, is worth more than 10 – 12 years in regular job
• These days people in the industry are very happy to hire X-entrepreneurs, since they know these guys can get work done
• Not all companies would be open to hiring him. But there are lot of funded, growing, young, dynamic companies who would be happy to consider him seriously
• Your son will be way ahead, both in salary and position, as compared to most of his classmates / colleagues who will never go out of the SW industry and become Senior SW engineer or at best a team lead in these 2-3 years. Some of these guys may have gone to top B-Schools to do MBAs and after 2 years will be doing entry level jobs in companies
• So if in the worst case spending two years passionately working on your startup can him chance to switch his job profile and domain, a very good jump in both and salary, and in good case he may be running a successful venture – doing a start up is a great investment in career, and not at all a risk
• They understood my point since it was quite logical, but still did not seem fully convinced . I don’t blame them. They are from a different generation

Business Ideas may fail, but Entrepreneurship is risk free
No opportunity comes with surety.  Even an MBA from a top B-School might not get the best returns. There are lots of bright ideas which never reap fruits. What is important is that you should be able to separate failure of your idea from your personal failure. Its very clear, if you choose to become an entrepreneur for the right reasons, have the right approach and are determined to give it your best shot for 2-3 years and create value in your venture, chances of failure are near zero. You will learn so much and get to know so many people that even in case of the worst outcome, you will come out way ahead and will be a much wanted resource.h
The journey of entrepreneurship is the real value add for the entrepreneur. The result is a by product.

who believes in god

In a small town in India, a person decided to open up his Bar business, which was right opposite to the Temple. The Temple & its congregation started a campaign to block the Bar from opening with petitions and prayed daily against his business.
Work progressed. However, when it was almost complete and was about to open a few days later, a strong lightning struck the Bar and it was burnt to the ground.

The temple folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the Bar owner sued the Temple authorities on the grounds that the Temple through its congregation & prayers was ultimately responsible for the demise of his bar shop, either through direct or indirect actions or means.

In its reply to the court, the temple vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection that their prayers were reasons to the bar shop's demise. As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork at the hearing and commented:

I don't know how I'm going to decide this case, but it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer and we have an entire temple and its devotees that doesn't.

When I was 12 years old, I got interested in learning English. I rode my bike for 40 minutes every morning, rain or snow, for eight years to a hotel near the city of Hangzhou's West Lake district, about 100 miles southwest of Shanghai. China was opening up, and a lot of foreign tourists went there. I showed them around as a free guide and practiced my English. Those eight years deeply changed me. I started to become more globalized than most Chinese. What I learned from my teachers and books was different from what the foreign visitors told us.

The other event that fundamentally changed me was in 1979, when I met a family with two kids from Australia. We met and spent three days together and played Frisbee. We became pen pals. In 1985 they invited me to go to Australia for a summer vacation. I went in July, and those 31 days changed my life. Being Twenty-Something ..

They call it the "Quarter-Life Crisis." It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing that there are many things about yourself that you didn't know and may not like. You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that maybe, those friends that you thought were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you don't recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty, mean, or insincere but that they are as confused as you.
You look at your job...and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you. Your opinions have gotten stronger. You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lay in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you know that you aren't a bad person.

One night stands and random hookups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts lto look pathetic You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, and the future and making a life for yourself...and while winning the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender!

What you may not realize is that everyone reading this relates to it.. Just that some of us are past this experience.. some of us may be going through it.. And the rest are going through it like me.

Kutta, Sher Aur Bandar

Ek din ek kutta jungle main raasta kho gaya. Tabhi usane dekha ek sher uskii taraf aa raha hai. Kutte ki saans rookh gayi. "Aaj to kaam tamaam mera!" usne socha. Phir usne saamane kuchh sookhi haddiyan padi dekhi. Woh aate hue sher ki taraf peeth kar ke baith gaya aur ek sookhi hadii ko choosne laga aur zor zor se bolne laga, "wah! Sher ko khaane ka mazaa hi kuch aur hai. Ek aur mil jaaye to poori daawat ho jayegi!"

Aur usne zor se dakaar mara. Is bar sher soch mein pad gayaa. Usne socha "ye kutta to sher ka shikar karta hai! Jaan bacha kara bhago!"

Aur sher wahan se jaan bachaa ke bhaaga.

Ped par baitha ek Bandar yeh sab tamasha dekh raha tha. Usne socha yeh mauka achha hai sher ko saari kahani bata deta hoon - sher se dosti ho jayegi aur usse zindagi bhar ke liye jaan ka khatra dur ho jayega.. Woh phataphat sher ke pichhe bhaaga. Kutte ne Bandar ko jaate hue dekh liya aur samajh gayaki koi locha hai. Udhar Bandar ne sher ko sab bata diya ki kaise kutte ne use bewakoof banaya hai. Sher zor se dahada, "chal mere saath abhi uski leela khatam karta hoon" aur Bandar ko apani peeth par baitha kar sher kutte ki taraf lapka.

Kutte ne sher ko aate dekha to ek baar phir uskii taraf peeth karke baith gaya aur zor zor se bolne laga, "Is Bandar ko bhej ke 1 ghanta ho gaya, saala ek sher phaans kar nahi la sakta!" You think rest of what would have happened.

I spent almost three days to figure out that why my code is throwing

-javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Received fatal alert: decrypt_error

I tried all possible solution provided on Google , no help . finally one of my colleague told me a solution.If u face similar problem try following steps:-

1)Download latest certs from website u trying to connect over ssl

2)generate new cacerts.bin and replace new cacaerts.bin with old one and restart your app.

3)It must solve you problem

4)If u still face same issue

Go to :- cd /opt/jdk1.5.0_12/jre/lib/security

open java.security file

replace

security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
security.provider.2=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider
security.provider.3=com.sun.rsajca.Provider

with

security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
security.provider.2=sun.security.rsa.SunRsaSign
security.provider.3=com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider
security.provider.4=com.sun.crypto.provider.SunJCE
security.provider.5=sun.security.jgss.SunProvider
security.provider.6=com.sun.security.sasl.Provider

and this must fix your problem.
